Adequate training for recycling companies personnel

Recycling companies should train their personnel who are responsible for receiving and collecting recyclable material, so that they are able to easily identify material of suspicious origin.

Any educational program adopted should include at least the following:

1. The development and use of a questionnaire to be used by staff when considering whether some material is of dubious origin, as well as to be able to face the seller in case he becomes aggressive.
2. Establishing procedures so that the responsible officer knows when to invite his supervisor, in order to manage potential problems with the material on sale, and how and when to call the Police if this is considered necessary.
