Any individual can send a request for reporting a metal theft incident using the corresponding form on the «Metal Alert» System.
All requests are subsequently examined by the Administrator of the system and, if approved, are entered into the system and published. During the examination process, the Administrator may contact the sender of the request for clarifications or further information.
Note that willfully and falsely reporting a theft is considered a felony or a misdemeanour and it is prosecuted. It may be punished by a prison term of up to 5 years (Article 229 of the Penal Code).
In order to send a request for reporting a metal theft incident, please complete the corresponding form as follows:
Title of the metal theft incident
Enter a title for your report. Ideally, the title should represent an overview of your report. For example "Theft of Copper Cables from Factory Storage Area”.

Enter the date that the metal theft incident occurred.

Enter the address (or, in case there is no address, the area) where the metal theft incident has occurred.

Select the postal code of the area where the metal theft incident has occurred, from the drop-down list.

Enter the name of the city or town where the metal theft incident has occurred.

Note: In case the item, which was stolen does not appear in the list provided; please select "Other” and clearly state the stolen items in your description (see below) of the metal theft incident.

Note: In case the material, which was stolen does not appear in the list provided; please select "Other” and clearly state the stolen material in your description (see below) of the metal theft incident. In case you do not know the type of material which was stolen (for example, you know that cables were stolen, but you are not sure what they are made of), please state so in your description of the incident.
